AI and Cybersecurity: Diego Parise Spoke on the Challenges Companies Face

Our partner Diego Parise participated as a speaker at the 8th Digital Finance Forum, organized by the Argentine Institute of Finance Executives (IAEF). As a specialist in corporate governance, he shared his perspective on cybersecurity risks and artificial intelligence governance.

“The main challenge organizations face is balancing security and innovation in an environment that enables them to increase productivity without exposing themselves to the significant risks created by new technologies,” he stated during the event.

The panel also included Mara Misto Macias, CISO of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic, and Diego Taich, Cybersecurity, Technology and Risk Management Consulting Partner at PwC. Their different perspectives complemented each other in a discussion that highlighted for attendees the importance of addressing these issues through a comprehensive approach.

Diego Parise also shared several practical recommendations. First, he suggested that companies review their insurance policies, which often contain exclusions related to AI-driven attacks. He also advised organizations to examine their contracts with technology providers, focusing on confidentiality, data protection, and where data is stored.
