He is one of the partners in the Labor and Social Security Law practice area at Mitrani Caballero, advising on various areas of labor law—both individual and collective—and social security, at the national and international levels, and has been recognized by the leading international rankings in the sector.

Jorge Pico has been recognized by Chambers & Partners since 2023 and ranked in Band 2 in the 2026 edition. He has also been recognized by The Legal 500 since 2021 in Tier 2, and by Leaders League in the Excellent category consecutively between 2022 and 2026.

Previously, he was a senior associate and later a partner at Bruchou, Fernández Madero, Lombardi & Mitrani (2005–2007).

For eleven years, he served as in-house counsel in the Labor Law Department of the Techint Group, advising the group on matters of individual and collective labor law and social security in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela (1994–2005). Between 1991 and 1993, he worked at the National Labor Courts.

He has participated in negotiations of collective agreements and collective bargaining conventions in the metallurgical, steel, electrical, construction, oil, communications, health insurance fund, auto parts, tire, railway, and meat industries, among others, both in Argentina and in other countries in the region. He advised Ferrocámara (Chamber of Freight Railway Companies), the Chamber of Hydrocarbon Producing Companies (CEPH), and the Argentine Chamber of Exporters (CERA). He was a member of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Argentine Chamber of Construction (CAC) (2004–2005).

He represents a variety of clients in labor and social security litigation before the National Labor Courts, the Labor Courts of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Federal Social Security Courts, and in administrative proceedings before the Revenue Agency, health insurance funds, and the Superintendency of Health Services, among others. His clients include health insurance funds for management-level employees.

He is the author of legal works and numerous articles in specialized publications, which can be found on his LinkedIn profile, and he is also a member of the Argentine Association of Labor and Social Security Law (AADTySS).
