We advised ITBA on the sale of its historic Puerto Madero campus

Mitrani Caballero advised the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) on the sale of the building that housed the university for over half a century. The property was acquired by a company affiliated with Grupo Emes.

ITBA is a private university in Argentina focused exclusively on technology, engineering, and management. Its academic excellence has positioned it among the top five universities in Latin America in this field.

The historic property sold is located at Av. Eduardo Madero 399, a strategic location in the City of Buenos Aires, across from Terminal Madero and just steps from the downtown area. The transaction marks a foundational milestone in the university’s path toward building its new campus in the Innovation Park located in the Núñez neighborhood.

Our partner Carlos Trogolo Eliçabe led the work, along with associates Constanza Domini, Sofía Leggiero, and Gonzalo Castagnini. Together, they formed a multidisciplinary team covering commercial, financial, regulatory, corporate, and contractual law.

The firm’s comprehensive advice and extensive experience in complex transactions were key to ensuring transparency and security throughout the process. Successfully closing the deal reaffirms Mitrani Caballero’s leadership in the corporate legal sector.
