We attended the Annual Industrial Property Conference AAAPI

Ignacio Bérèterbide and Manuel Alonso represented Mitrani Caballero at the Argentine Association of Industrial Property Agents (AAAPI) event, where they met with leading professionals from across the country and the region to exchange perspectives on key industry issues.

Manuel Alonso joined Magdalena Otamendi (G. Breuer) as a speaker on the panel “Close Encounters of Every Kind: The Specialty Principle and the Concepts of Similarity and/or Affinity—Their Application in Determining Confusion, Infringement, and Sufficiency of Use,” moderated by Paula Caraffa Morando (Achával IP & Asoc).

“It was a true pleasure and an enormously enriching experience to work side by side with my colleagues during the preparation of the session and the exchange of ideas that will undoubtedly strengthen our practice,” Manuel Alonso remarked after his presentation.

The XXXIX Annual Industrial Property Conference also addressed other pivotal topics, including standard-essential patents, co-ownership of rights, valuation and appraisal of intangible assets, and the redefinition of trademark use in light of new business models.
